Tool" for any swimmer who is looking to technically improve their stroke.
Fitness is a large component in swimming speed and training volume and intensity can
brin significant time improvements. At some point, the volume and intensity will hit a
plateau and at this point technique improvements can help the athlete break through that
plateau to the next level.
Triathletes: we aim to get you in and out of the water faster and with less effort
so that you can physically and mentally attack the 2 remaining portions of the race. One
of the biggest fears of triathletes is the swim portion. Although a great swim leg in a
triathlon cannot win the race, a bad one can kill any chances of winning.
The importance of coming out of the water in better standing has a mental effect on your
race strategy for the bike leg. Your swim placing determines the caliber of athletes you
will start the bike segment with and can set you up to be able to see and race your
competition better.
